About Kristina
A long time student of yoga, I simply love the way my yoga practice makes me feel. Yoga has helped ease chronic back pain from years of working as a fisheries biologist on commercial vessels at sea. Yoga also helps to clear the chatter in the mind and has allowed me to live a more conscious, peaceful life. I'm passionate about sharing my love of yoga and helping others develop a dedicated practice of their own.
My classes help students build a deeper awareness of their body and find a connection between the body and mind. I focus on using the power of the breath to deepen the yoga experience. You'll find a balance of yin and yang energies in my classes mixing powerful vinyasa flow with longer held stretches to build strength and flexibility. I encourage students to explore their own bodies, to enjoy the journey and not be afraid to tumble when trying something new.
I'm a 500hr Vinyasa Yoga CYT, 200hr Yin Yoga CYT and a Level 1 Reiki Practitioner. Forever a student, I've attended several continuing education courses, yoga retreats and workshops around the globe.
The Tula Flow
Say hello to my signature class - The Tula Flow. Tula translates to 'balance' in ancient Sanskrit. This intermediate class is a beautiful balance of powerful vinyasa flow and longer held deep stretches to build strength and flexibility and invigorate the whole body. In my classes you'll find opportunities to explore taking your practice to the next level and an emphasis on the power of the breath. Whether you're looking for a challenging workout or some love for sore muscles this class offers a perfect balance of both. A foundation in yoga is recommended. Expect to sweat.
